Less Than Three Press is pleased to announce open submissions for our new anthology, Bad Moon Rising:

Superstition abounds where the moon is concerned. It can bring love, luck, madness, misfortune, pleasure, and pain. Nothing is left untouched by the waxing and waning of the moon. Those forced to shun the day welcome the light of the moon and work their magic beneath her gaze.

Of all the myths and legends, superstitions and old wives tales, no lunar legend is as well-known as those surrounding the wolves. A deadly bite, a family curse, an old story to frighten children, a local myth, a penance paid for old sins. An heirloom, a trinket, a painting, a crossing of paths—the permutations are endless. Give us your tales of wolves, of moonlight, of what can happen when the old tales turn out to be true…

There is one month remaining in the submission period for our That Famous Happy End anthology. We’re looking for short stories approximately between 15,000 and 25,000 words that have a happy ending! Check out more details on our submissions page.

Please also note that we’re accepting Fairy Tale and General submissions! We’re looking for both fairy tales and general submissions between 35,000 and 60,000 words long, but longer stories are welcome, too. Our general submissions guidelines also apply to fairy tales—with the addition that the story must contain a strong fairy-tale theme (this can be an original fairy tale of your own creation or a remake of a classic).
