Upgrade is complete!

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Hello all,

The site upgrade is complete and went off without a hitch (other than taking longer than we originally estimated). Like I mentioned in the earlier post, we were able to import our database of users from our old software, so you do not need to recreate your account!

Please note! Your account name and password are now case sensitive, so pay close attention when logging in. We’ve reset your passwords to be the same as your user name, so make sure you change that immediately! If you aren’t sure whether your account name was capitalized, check the email we sent out a few minutes ago. That will include your account name and password with the capitalization you’ll need to log into the web site.

If you did not receive the upgrade email, you can request it be sent to you from the website. Click the “Log In” link from the navigation bar, and then enter your email address in the “Lost Password?” box. Your user name and password will be sent to that email account.

If you had special characters in your user name (apostrophes, mostly), these were removed during the import process. We were also required to separate first-and-last names for the import, so if you only had one name entered or if you had an email address for your “name,” you may notice your name has changed in the new system. (You can either update this or leave it alone; these fields aren’t used for anything but LT3 records).

To reset your password, either click the “My Account” link after you log in or go directly here and update your password from there.

Please note we’re currently reviewing and updating our FAQ page and the Payment information web page; those will be up-to-date later this evening. We wanted to get the news out that you can access the site again out as soon as we could!

If you find any broken links or if you have any issues logging in, please do not hesitate to email us at service@lessthanthreepress.com.

Thank you for your patience, and happy reading!

Update on the Upgrade!

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Just a quick update on our upgrade — everything is going swimmingly, but it’s going to take longer than we initially estimated to get all our ducks in a row. The Good news is that we’ve been able to retain all of your accounts, so you will not have to recreate them!

Fortunately, at this point it’s just a matter of updating links and doing a few quick tests, so we should have everything back up in a bit! Thanks again for your patience. <3

Update Begins

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Hi all,

In six minutes, we’re going to start the upgrade of the web site. If you try to access the web site during this period, you’ll likely find a lot of broken links and server errors! Remember, once the upgrade is complete, we’ll send you each an email letting you know how to access your accounts again!

Again, thank you for your patience and have a wonderful Sunday!

Software Update News
Our new subscription management software has been scheduled to be installed on Sunday, January 17. We plan for the web site to be down from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern time to complete this update.

Unfortunately, it’s still unclear whether or not your accounts will be able to migrated to the new system and we likely won’t know until after our upgrade is complete. Once the upgrade is complete, we will send you all an email (and update here) to let you know what steps you need to take to log into your accounts (or create new accounts, if need be).

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any concerns or questions about the upgrade, feel free to get in touch with us!
